The healthiest fast food ever. I used to go to gyro place for lunch but never dared to try pita pit. Since this place is off the loop i used to think this might be some struggling franchise with same old fast food concept. But i was totally wrong. This is exactly the kind of food i like to have. More veggies, decent amount of meat and carb, unlike other sandwiches which is 70% bread and burritos are like all rice and tortillas. Highly recommended.

Before attending a show at the Pageant I was really hungry and needed something quick-Pita Pit to the rescue! It was a rainy and cold night out and all I wanted was something warm and filling. They offered a special that night called the Saint Louis (or something like that) it was basically a wrap with BBQ sauce, chicken, and cheese-all 3 of my favorite things; so I ordered it along with a bag of chips and a soda. It was the perfect meal. I was able to pick out the wrap I wanted and I also was able to select the additional veggies I wanted so I pretty much chose all of them. The chicken was being grilled as I waited and then it was time to fill the pita; the guy was an expert at it and didn't drop anything. I was able to eat my meal and arrive at the show on time. Pita Pit is a great stop for something quick, tasty, and filling.

Easily a 4 star stop for me. Went in because of Groupon, will go back because they are good. I had the prime rib wrap and the hummus wrap. Both excellent. I like the pita wrap concept ... not too heavy but tough enough to hold a large amount of stuffings and not be overpowered by the bread part. Plus they do have a bowl option but really, I want to get the prime rib one again. Excellent service and food. Worth a visit with or without a discount.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! I've been wanting to try this place for ages! Of course I got the gyro, it's what I was thinking when I came in for the first time. But they had so many other options as well. Love all the fresh veggie options, far more options than Subway. And hummus! Subway doesn't have hummus!

This place is definitely a tasty secret! If quick and healthy are what you're looking for a in a lunch/dinner, then this is the place for you! Its a delightful pocket of tasty everything, because that is exactly what you can put in! Hummus is an option! Avocados don't cost extra! And there is usually a groupon or something that lets you double your buying experience easily! Torn between a flavor or wondering what combo will be best? Buy them both! We came in just to check it out, we have been back and will continue to get our Pita on!

R.I.P. Subway (1978-2014) That's right. Subway is dead to me. To hell with their crappy meat and bland yoga-mat bread. Pita Pit has earned the crown. Why is Pita Pit better? First off, the pita aspect. A Subway sandwich is like 80% composed of shitty bread. The pita shell at Pita Pit is thin (carbs are bad y'all) and doesn't overshadow the ingredients. And there are lots of ingredients. Want to get some hummus or avocado spread for no added cost? You got it. Mushrooms? Check. Artichokes? Check. Roasted red peppers? Real grilled chicken that isn't thrown in a microwave? Yup and yup. Of course they have all the veggies you can get at Subway. Prices might be a buck or two higher, but it is completely worth it. Service is usually great, but can get a bit slow during the lunch rush.

Pretty much hit the spot. My day didn't go the way I needed it to go so that I could take kid 1 out for a decent dinner before a concert at The Pageant. I wasn't interested in a heavy meal so I went with the falafel and added lettuce, tomatoes, tzatzki sauce and feta cheese. Roll it all up in one of those weird STL-style flat pitas and serve it up... I really liked the flavors but found the use of pre-made falafel a little off-putting as they were nothing special and may have been frozen at some point. The overall impression that I had was that the vegetables were nice and fresh but the falafel dragged it down. Very friendly service, clean store and one of those new Coca Cola freestyle machines.

Really?!!! I've had Falafel from many other places in town. This one scored lowest in my list. Felt like I'm in Subway. I was totally disappointed in taste and menu selection. Not worth it, guys.

Best way I can describe Pita Pit to someone who has never been there before is that the set-up and ordering process is just like Subway (but with pitas instead of bread). Pita Pit and Subway are also right around the same in pricing, but I would add that the food quality is a good notch above Subway as well. Also, they have a flat top and freshly grill their chicken and meat in front of you. I've been to the Del Mar location a few times, and the service is always courteous and moves along at a good pace. Plain and simply, I'm a fan. If you are in the mood for Subway or something in that realm, pass on it in favor of Pita Pit and you will not be disappointed.

I just picked up lunch here for me and a few co-workers. Something happened with my online order and they were SUPER nice and helpful about it. Also the food is delicious and fresh and the portions are huge. Great place!

Great addition to the Delmar loop. I love their sandwiches, especially the gyro. Like other reviewers have said, it is like Subway in that you get to choose exactly what goes in your sandwich, but with better quality ingredients. Service can be a little slow during the lunch rush, but it's worth the wait.

Cordial service. Tasty pita! I had the aloha pita the first time and have been back at least 4-5 times since they opened spring 2013. Smooth smoothie (mango tango is great!)

I am obsessed with Pita Pit. Obsessed. Really, I eat here almost every day. Before this Pita Pit opened, I had never been to a Pita Pit franchise, but I'm a convert. I'll give you seven good reasons why you should drop what you're doing and go experience Pita Pit RIGHT NOW. (1) First of all, the food is delicious. I'm a vegetarian and this place offers great vegetarian options that actually have protein in them. The hummus and the falafel pitas are my favorite so far, but I've heard the Morning Glory is awesome so maybe one of these days I'll branch out and try it. Don't worry, they have tons of meat options, too! (2) Second, the food is so healthy, fresh, and quick. Eating Pita Pit is a great way to get a quick lunch packed with veggies. (3) Third, everyone who works there is friendly and nice. You can tell the owner, Jordan, is working hard to get his Pita Pit franchise up and running successfully. (4) Fourth, the place is immaculate. (5) Fifth, I don't drink soda but they have the coolest soda machine ever. It was designed by Pininfarina (who also designs Ferraris btw), and has tons of soda flavors. You can even go to cocacola.com , design your own flavor, then hold your smart phone up to the machine and your soda flavor will come out. (6) They serve breakfast all day. (7) They're open until 2 am on weekends. So, there you have it. "But don't take my word for it..." -LeVar Burton

I had not eaten at pita pit until about 3 months ago. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! When I found out that this location delivers, I have ordered once a week for the past month! I love how different the food is than other delivery places. The food always shows up as it was ordered with no mistakes! They have been very consistent and I would definitely recommend this location to anyone I know!
